Do I have to register for new member orientation?

You will automatically be enrolled in the next available new member orientation course. Once registered, you will receive an email reminding you of the orientation class and a packet that includes much of the orientation class materials. You may print any of the materials you feel will be helpful to bring to the class of feel free to bring your laptop. We have free Wi-Fi.

Why do I have to attend New Member Orientation?

Per NAR and NCCBOR Bylaws, applicants for REALTOR membership and provisional REALTOR members (where applicable) shall complete an orientation program on the Code of Ethics of not less than two hours and thirty minutes of instructional time.

What happens if I do not attend?

Failure to satisfy this requirement within two offerings of the date of application (or, alternatively, the date that provisional membership was granted), will result in denial of the membership application or termination of provisional membership.

Does the New Member Orientation class count towards CE credits?

The new member orientation class you attend will fulfill your NAR Biennial Code of Ethics requirement for the current biennial period. It also fulfills the Delaware Real Estate Commission Newly Licensed Salesperson Module 1-Professional Standards in Real Estate.
