Types of Memberships Final

NCCBOR offers eight different types of membership, each with its own unique responsibilities and associated fees. The following information should help you determine the appropriate membership type for your business needs.

 

REALTOR® Primary           

Any principal of a firm holding a real estate license in the state of Delaware and actively engaged in the real estate profession.

Anyone holding a real estate license in the state of Delaware and actively engaged in the real estate profession, who is employed by or affiliated with such principal of a firm.

 

REALTOR® Secondary        

A REALTOR® who holds primary membership in another Board of REALTORS®, and desires to hold REALTOR® membership with this Board as well. Note: Secondary members may hold membership with NCCBOR without holding membership in the state association, or alternatively, may hold membership in the state association without holding membership in a local association.

Secondary members are not required to take Orientation Class.

 

Affiliate Individual

The owner of employee of a business having an interest in real estate who, while not engaged in the real estate profession as a licensed real estate broker or salesperson, is in sympathy with the objectives of the board.   

 

Affiliate Corporate

A firm, not engaged in real estate brokerage, which has an interest in real estate and is in sympathy with the objectives of the Board.

Note: applicants for affiliate membership may not hold an active real estate license unless they can certify that they do not engage in real estate brokerage.

 

Institute Affiliate                    

An individual engaged exclusively in a specialty of the real estate profession other than residential brokerage of real property who holds membership in an Institute, Society, or Council of the National Association of REALTORS® and who, if otherwise eligible, does not elect to hold REALTOR® membership.

                                                               

Personal Assistant                          

An individual engaged in the real estate profession who is an employee of, or affiliated with, a member REALTOR® and is associated with an established real estate business.
