Question 1: Where can I find out what type of credits I received from a class I took from NCCBOR?
Please review the list of classes that NCCBOR offered during the current DE renewal period. The list is available on Education Cheat Sheet
or contact us.
Question 2: Can you tell me the Continuing Education Requirements?
The Continuing Education requirements are available on our website under the tab "Education > Continuing Education > CE On-Site" and then select "2012 Continuing Education Requirements". Here is a brief summary for ALL licensed by December 31, 2010:
- Salesperson - You Need a Total of 15 Hours: 9 Elective Credits and 6 Required Credits (3 Legislative Credits & 3 Salesperson Core)
- Broker - You Need a Total of 15 Hours: 9 Elective Credits and 6 Required Credits (6 Hour Broker Core)
If you receive your license between 1/1/11 and 12/31/11 you must have 6 Continuing Education Credits to renew your license in 2012. These 6 hours can be on any topic, you are not responsible to complete any required credits.
If you receive your license between 1/1/12 and 4/30/12 you do not need to complete any Continuing Education credits in order to renew your license by April 30, 2012.
Question 3: If I take 2 legislative courses, will the second class count?
If the legislative classes are different (having different titles) you can use both for credits. Credits from one class would be considered legislative credits and credits from the second class can be used for elective credits.
Question 4: Can I take the same class twice and receive credit?
No. You can not receive credit for the same class.
Question 5: Can I take the Broker Required Core course, if I have a Salesperson license and vice versa?
If you have a Salesperson license you can take the Broker Required Core Course as elective credits ONLY; this will not satisfy your required credits.
If you have a Broker's License, you may take the Salesperson Required Core Course as elective credits ONLY; this will not satisfy your required credits.
Question 6: I took other classes, why aren't they showing up in my record?
The IMS system only tracks the classes that you have taken through the NCCBOR. If you have attended courses offered by other providers, the information will not be available in the IMS system, nor will the NCCBOR be able to provide any information about that course. You should contact the provider who offered to course.
Question 7: I took a class with the NCCBOR, how do I know if it was PA Acceptable?
Since we are located outside of Pennsylvania, the PA Real Estate Commission will accept our classes, which are approved by the DE Real Estate Commission at the time the course was offered. The PA Real Estate will NOT accept any credits for classes that deal with state specific topics (DE Legislative, Legislative Update Courses) or computer training / office software courses. If you attend a class through another provider, we will not be able to inform you if the class is acceptable for PA credits.
Question 8: Where can I find a list of scheduled CE courses, are any available online?
NCCBOR offers a variety of venues in order to complete the 15 Continuing Education hours necessary to renew your Delaware License. We offer instructor-led classes with various hours to meet anyone's schedule. The Continuing Education Schedule is available on our website www.nccbor.com under the tab "Education > Continuing Education > CE On-Site".
If you are unable to attend these courses, we also offer Elective online courses. These courses are approved for 6 Delaware Elective credits and are acceptable for 6 PA elective credits. A list of these courses can be found under the tab "Education > Continuing Education > CE Online".
Question 9: How do I confirm that I am registered for a class?

1. Log on to www.nccbor.com
2. Select "Your Education Information" under Personal Services
3. Select the "Classes you are registered for"
You will see a list of all the classes that you are registered for with NCCBOR.
